This project was unique in that the pond location was to fit in at the base of the bluff’s in Eastern Minnesota. The client’s hope was that the pond would fit into the natural landscape; however the runoff from the hills could not end up in the pond. The excavation company did an excellent job creating the footprint and moving the excess dirt so the pond looks like it was put there naturally by mother nature. In addition to supporting a fishery, we are focusing heavily on water quality with the use of a natural wetland bio-filter. By circulating water through the wetland we are relying on aquatic plants natural ability to clean water. The pond is a great addition to this client’s amazing property.
